Note: The Taego Zen Center will officially open in July 2010.
We are affiliated with the Taego Order of Korean Buddhism. This Zen Center was formed to disseminate and propagate the Dharma, the teachings of Shakymuni Buddha, as recorded in the ancient scriptures with emphasis on Zen meditation.
A summary of our regular service schedule:
- Chanting – Traditional chanting in Korean, Heart sutra in English & Korean
- Dharma Talk – In English (Professional Korean Translator available at service if needed)
- Lunch is Served - Tradition Korean Temple style vegetarian dishes.
We a have a city park a half block away for our children and a Sunday School Teacher to supervise, please feel free to bring your children.
About Hae Jin Sunim.
He wears the hats of Father, Husband, Brother and Sunim. Being a monk yet living in the world he has the secular experiences that relate to the everyday person. His style is down to earth, with modern teachings on the Dharma. He has practiced and studied many forms of Korean Buddhism over the past 12 years. Hae Jin Sunim lives with his wife Hye Jeong and thier son.
